Case Study: The Able Agent: thought leadership campaign
The Able Agent: thought leadership campaign
Sharing expertise and insights with the property industry
About our client, The Able Agent
The Able Agent is a leading specialist in online training and qualifications for estate and letting agents across every aspect of their businesses. The company delivers affordable, comprehensive training packages that allow agents to get ahead of their competitors, expand their knowledge and, crucially, comply with the law.
The Able Agent makes training anywhere possible, enabling agents to make the most of their time and upskill flexibly, including in the ‘downtime’ between appointments, or waiting in the car.
Inspiring and leading others through the sharing of original ideas
One of the core parts of the PR campaign is a comprehensive thought leadership programme. Working closely with Charlotte Jeffrey-Campbell, director at The Able Agent, the PR team brainstorms topics and ideas which can be pitched into media. The purpose of which is to convey The Able Agent’s true expertise and knowledge when it comes to agency best practice, in order to generate interest in the training courses available.
The team is also quick to respond to business and industry reactives, to help ensure Charlotte and the team come across as true specialists – giving confidence to agents in The Able Agent knowledge and service.
Thought leadership – hitting the mark
The PR support is really helping to raise The Able Agent and Charlotte Jeffrey-Campbell profile. Content is created off the back of Able Agent courses created, or via reactive news commentary.
The PR team interviews Charlotte and team members around the topic. They then create thought provoking content – designed to raise questions and get agents thinking on a specific, newsworthy topic.
The results
The coverage that results is helping to convey the company as true thought leaders and specialists in their field and driving interest in Able Agent course content.
Charlotte Jeffrey-Campbell comments: “The PR has made a real impact, and we have been delighted with the results to date. The industry knows who we are and what we do, and we have our PR partnership to thank for that – we have made real traction.”
Events support
Case Study: ACG - Events Support
ACG: events support
Maximising event attendance
About our client, The Able Agent
ACG is the world’s most integrated provider of oral dosage products and services, producing capsules, barrier packaging materials, manufacturing machinery, and visual inspection and traceability solutions.
Today, ACG fosters long-term collaborative partnerships with customers in 138 countries across six continents.
International event attendance
ACG attends global pharmaceutical and nutraceutical events on a regular basis, either with a stand presence or a speaker platform.
In Europe and the US, the Making Waves PR team works hard to generate media interest at these events – either via content at the events, or by coordinating press briefings.
Media interest
At each event ACG either launches a new product of service, or there would be a speaker slot/platform for a team member.
The PR team will work to invite media along to the show to meet with and interview relevant ACG team members, with a view to generating press coverage and building ACG profile in relevant trade media.
The results
The PR campaign around events support for ACG generates ongoing and consistent press coverage.
Madhurima Chakraborty, head of communications at ACG, said: “The PR generates regular press coverage and we really value the great work that is put in towards building our profile surrounding our event attendance. Our team are always on hand to speak to media, and we have found it so invaluable to build our relations with core journalists across the sector.”
Case Study: ASAP: PR launch
ASAP: PR launch
Making an impact with company news and content
About our client, ASAP
Complete ASAP is a national sales progression solution. The company vision is to speed up the conveyancing process and get everyone moving faster. Today, the team at ASAP has honed an innovative approach, which has reduced transaction times by up to eight weeks.
Since its launch, the business has grown consistently in size and turnover. Working with property professionals nationwide, ASAP counts estate agents, IFAs, mortgage brokers and auctioneers amongst its customers.
The Making Waves PR programme
A key area of focus for the ASAP PR programme is creating and issuing relevant content to trade media. One of which is in the form of press releases. This is to help raise the profile of the company, and to encourage estate agents to have an appreciation of the value of outsourced sales progression.
ASAP Material Information launch
Launched in May 2024, in response to the new NTSELAT guidelines, the ASAP Material Information (MI) solution ensures the agent remains compliant at every stage.
The ASAP team provided a thorough briefing on the new launch, for Making Waves to then collate salient content to issue to media. This included: a press release to announce the launch, thought leadership articles to address the area of material information and inclusion of the launch in company award entries.
The results
The Material Information launch generated press coverage across all of the property trade media. It also resulted in coverage and uptake of wider thought leadership content on the theme in trade media.
In addition, the PR team supported ASAP in making an application into the EAMasters Innovation & Improvement Awards, underpinned by the Material Information launch. The company has gone on to be shortlisted for those awards.
Richard Megson, managing director at ASAP, said: “The PR team got under the skin of the Material Information launch and our specific offering. The content was relevant and thought-provoking, and we have had some interesting dialogue and uptake from the industry as a result of this launch.
“It’s great to work alongside a PR partner that can be flexible and adaptable to our needs. The PR programme is underpinned by a real two-way dialogue.”
